^{The next mid-term
conference of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Kerala
Chapter is scheduled to be held at Alappuzha. This full day
meeting from 9 am to 4 pm. will be organised by the Dept. of
Gastroenterology, Medical College Hospital, Alappuzha. You can
expect a feast of excellent academic discussions by experts in
the specialty. Please ear mark this day for the conference at
Alappuzha.}

^{Alappuzha, also known as
Venice of the East, is blessed with abundance of pristine natural
beauty. This ancient town is situated on the National Highway
with some of the best stretches of roads in Kerala. It is well
connected by bus and train services.}

^{Abstracts of the free
papers should reach Dr. H. Ramesh, Chief Surgeon, P.V.S. Memorial
Hospital, Kaloor, Kochi, on or before 15/08/2000. Your proposed
mode of presentation (LCD, 35mm slides or OHP) should also be
intimated. We welcome PowerPoint presentations for LCD
projection.}
